The Black Falcon team could not demonstrate all the potential it had to finish the BES with a great result.

Barcelona has been the meeting place for the celebration of the Blancpain GT Series 2017 Grand Finale and a new opportunity for the Black Falcon #16 team formed by Oliver Morley, Marvin Kirchhöfer and Miguel Toril to demonstrate the performance they already showed when they won 24 hours of Spa in PRO-AM category.

Despite a difficult qualification due to mix weather in the early hours of Sunday morning, the team was able to place in 16th position overall and 4th place of PRO-AM category for the grid of the 3 hours race; result in relation with the speed demonstrated on the previous day.

Miguel Toril would be in charge of taking the start and after a great initial performance, the options of a good result would vanish in the penultimate curve of the first lap, when receiving the hit of another participant, stopped him in the middle of the track, having to wait to re-join at the end of the group. From this moment it would start a spectacular comeback with which it would overtake more than 20 positions in half stint.

Later Oliver would also have difficulties during the his stint and despite all the efforts of Marvin in the final part of the race, the team would cross the finish line in the 30th position of the general and 10th of the PRO-AM category.

Miguel Toril: "This is a bitter end that I wish it would have been different. We had speed to fight for a TOP15 overall, no doubt. In addition, we finished off the final podium of the championship, for which we were also fighting. We look forward now and work for the next race. I thank all my team; their work and dedication will always deserve my respect. I am also proud to have been able to share this race with family, friends and my sponsor Cruzber who have come to the circuit to support me. They are the best motivation".
