Exceptional start of the season for Miguel Toril obtaining the third place at the VLN1 behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT4.

The long winter break has finally concluded for Miguel Toril. Under the structure of the team Black Falcon and sharing a car with the Italian Gabriele Piana and the Turkish Kaya Mustafa Mehmet, the Spanish-German driver has been part of the first race of the VLN Series 2018, competing in the SP10 category.

Toril would be responsible for taking the start of the race and making the first stint from the Pole Position of the category, thanks to the time marked by Piana in the final phase of the Qualifying. The first stint would finish without incidents and Miguel would manage to keep the car in the TOP3 of the class until its delivery to Mehmet for the second stint. When Piana received the car, the team had gone down to the 5th place among the SP10, but thanks to one last racing effort by the Italian, the team would be able to take the podium position.

Miguel Toril: "It's great to be able to start the year from the podium. You can tell that the winter has been long for me, outside the race tracks and even longer, without racing around the Nordschleife; however, I am satisfied with my return to this place. Great work done by my teammates and my team. Thanks to all of them. I hope I am able to return soon to the VLN. Without forgetting that there are still important news to come; season has just started".
