The second appointment of the ELMS ends earlier than it should for the team #8 of DKR Engineering after a severe accident during the race.

The #8 Norma-Nissan of team DKR, driven by Jean Glorieux, Alex and Miguel Toril has once again been immersed in a race incident during the competition of the European Le Mans Series at the Italian racetrack of Monza. After a first stint race with Miguel Toril behind the wheel of the Norma LMP3, during which the team was able to get to run in second place, towards the end of the driving time of the Belgian driver of the team, a collision with a vehicle of the GT category that was running at reduced speed caused an accident of considerable severity, which prevented the continuation of the competition for the team and pointed to the second abandonment of the season for DKR.

Alex Toril: "our fans will have to wait a little longer to see us get on the podium. We were convinced that this race would be better than the start at Paul Ricard, but it has not been like that. Hopefully by statistics, we get rid of more accidents in the remainder of the season, which is still long. We still have a lot to prove. "

Miguel Toril: "The most important thing is that Jean has emerged unscathed from this accident. Unfortunately this is not the start of the season we had in mind, but we know that Motorsport can sometimes show you its most cruel side. We will continue working and progressing as we have done until now because sooner or later, the results we deserve in this championship will come”.
