The Spanish-German driver achieves the victory of the V6 category in his first participation at the prestigious and historic 24 hours of Nürburgring with his team Black Falcon.
By participating in the 44th edition of the 24 hours of Nürburgring, Miguel Toril was facing one of the key events of the season. After several months and preparation races finally arrived the time to take the start, once again under the technical structure of Black Falcon and together with teammates Aurel Schoeller, "Philip" and Andre Kuhn, to reach the finish line onboard the Porsche Carrera 911 991 #140 of V6 category.
The team's performance was excellent from the first moment, both in free practice and in qualifying rounds, where Miguel set a time of 9:33,227 that gave them the second start position -less than a tenth off the Pole- and the 73rd overall, from the total of 153 cars on grid.
The Nordschleife demonstrated its hard reality soon after the start when a hailstorm on track forced race direction to stop the competition for several hours. Once the general chaos was solved, Miguel would be responsible for taking the re-start of the race, that was any way under hard weather conditions.
From that moment on, the #140 would roll in 2nd position problem free until late night hours when finally the team jumped into the lead of the category, which would keep until crossing the finish line on Sunday afternoon; 116 laps in total, 30th place overall and 1st in the V6 category.
Miguel Toril: "I run out of adjectives to describe how I feel. Competing at the 24 hour Nürburgring was once a dream and now I see myself here holding up the trophy of victory. My happiness is immense now, taking into account that my brother Alex has also won in the SP7 category. There have been many moments of tension and others of good understanding; the week has been very intense. Hats off to my team, as they have done an excellent job to take me, my brother and one of the Mercedes to get our respective victories. I congratulate my colleagues for the excellent work they have done, driving the whole race without making any mistake and I thank everyone for their support. In a few weeks the season continues."
