The Spanish-German driver announces a planning change for 2018, deviating in this way from what has been his category during the last six seasons.

Miguel Toril: "Since the 2012 season I have been competing uninterruptedly in the GT3 category as the main program. Today, however, I see myself in the position of announcing that for the 2018 period I will make a stop in my GT3 trajectory taking a new path. I need a few more days until I can give specific information about what my 2018 project will be, but I can advance that a number of reasons have led me to make this decision. I will be competing at a great level and at an interesting championship although not with a vehicle with GT3 specifications.

It is sheer important for me today to thank all those who have worked with me during these years; for their effort, their help and for being part of my career. My main program 2018 will not be based on the structure of Black Falcon, which causes me some sadness. Black Falcon has been my home for the last two and a half seasons, where I have felt comfortable and to whom I have a lot to thank. I cannot forget of course all the teammates with whom I have had the pleasure of sharing a car; with all of them, I have learned and I have shared good and bad moments that I will remember forever. Also, to all the people who have made these last years of competition possible, external collaborators to the team, championship organizers, etc. I also thank you for being part of these years. Last but not least, thanks Mercedes-AMG Customer Sport Racing for all the work done developing the GT3 of the last seasons and giving technical support in the category.

To all those whom I will stop seeing frequently in 2018, I hope I return to share racing experiences soon again. Without a doubt, I do not rule out being able to return to the category in the future and I will work as much as possible in that sense.

Soon I will give news about 2018 and I hope that all my fans will like the new path I am going to take."
