The British BES meeting leaves Black Falcon car #16 without scoring.

The second round of the Blancpain Endurance Series 2017 has had an unlucky finish for Black Falcon's #16 car driven by Oliver Morley, Manuel Metzger and Miguel Toril.

The beginning of the competition did not start well for the interests of the team of Toril; after not being able to complete the qualifying round in the best conditions, Manuel Metzger could only qualify the car in the 44th place overall. In addition, the stewards decided to penalize the team #16 with a Drive Through because they considered that an error in the driving of Manuel during Q3 obstructed the rest of competitors.

Miguel Toril took the start and immediately served the penalty. From then on, an outstanding pace and a Safety Car allowed him to reach the 10th place of the PRO-AM and approximately half of the grid. Just before the opening of the window for the driver change, the AMG GT GT3 gearbox collapsed and the race for the team was over.

Miguel Toril: "It has been a disappointing weekend. We have not started very well and unfortunately we have not finished well. I think today I have performed one of the best stints I've ever done in this championship, but it has not helped for anything. I thank the whole team for the work they have done and regret that I have not been able to offer a good result. Even if it sounds like a cliché, we will be back stronger”.
