Miguel Toril ends 6th in PROM-AM category -17th overall- in a difficult race for the German team, which ended with all their cars away from where they deserved to be.

With a 6 hours format race, the 1000km of Paul Ricard took place this past Saturday at the French circuit of the same name. Among the three cars entered by Black Falcon for this meeting, Maro Engel, Oliver Morley and Miguel Toril were again the drivers for the car #56 in fight for the PRO-AM category.

The competition began with good feelings, thanks to the excellent qualifying time marked by Engel, which placed the team in 10th place overall for the start and 4th of the category. He would be also in charge of the start.

After the green light, Maro quickly stand at 6th place and would drive comfortably in that position until the end of his stint, to give the steering wheel to Oliver Morley, second in the driver order. Unfortunately, from this point a series of events in the strategies limited the chances of podium for the German team; the efforts of Miguel Toril in his two stints during the 3rd and 5th hour of the race, helped to recover time compared to his rivals. Maro faced the last hour on 5th place PRO-AM and 17th overall. The final problem came when 30 min before the checkered flag, a tire defect forced to make an extra stop and due to the extra seconds lost, they finished 6th PRO-AM and 17th overall.

Miguel Toril: “We can not say that we have made a bad race, because we've hold good pace and the car worked great today. Certainly all our rivals were quicker than us today on the straights and that made us have to do much more. In any case, there have been a series of adverse circumstances, which have made us go slowly losing the starting positions we had. I'll take the positives from the race because my pace was really good today. Surely the next results will be better and as we deserve."
