The good feelings and results achieved during the official tests could not materialize with the expected success of the team.

After the two days of official pre-season testing and the third position obtained during the qualifying session, the DKR Engineering team and its drivers, Jean Glorieux, Alex Toril and Miguel Toril have been forced to finish before the end at the opening race of the European Le Mans Series held in Paul Ricard.

With Jean as the driver in charge to take the start of the race and after absolving positively the first laps, towards the second half of his stint an LMP2 struck the Norma of DKR consequently producing the DNF result.

Miguel Toril: "an undesirable way to start the championship; not many comments I can do except that I'm sure we'll get good results in future races, since our speed is good enough to be in front of this championship."

Alex Toril: “I did not imagine starting like this. The truth is that it is a pity for the whole team. All the work and effort have not been rewarded. We definitely have a good car and we can fight for podiums. We will turn the page and concentrate on the next event in Monza.”
